Girls on Film - Part 2

Here we are enjoying the last of the lovely day outside at The Tasting Room

Girls on Film - Part 1

My cousin Sarah (recently engaged to Scott) and my long-time friend Inge with little Sam the raisin-eater
My cousin Danielle (make-up artist extraordinaire!) and me
Amy has just finished a day Dragon Boating for Beca and was excited about her team's result!

Margaret and Lois - fellow mothers, friends and a long-time-ago flatmate (Lois)

Anne-Claire and Anna - the only members of the international contingent sitting together! Anne-Claire and I started at the MED together on the same day, and she will finish up shortly to have her baby. Anna joined us at MED a year later. We went to Finland in July last year for Anna's wedding.

Kirri and Gail (flatmates from my last flat in Hargreaves St)

Jack's cousins Anna and Jaime

The Dancing Queen??

Hmm, not too quick at being able to work out what I was meant to be doing, so had to go through the tutorial (which took ages and didn't help me at all!)

Katrina's Hen's Day

Despite my protests, my girlfriends decided I needed to mark the occasion of the end of my un-married days (or of 'living in sin' as one so kindly put it). So Kirri, with the help of Anne-Claire and Anna, planned a lovely afternoon for me. My sole input was the guest list, and all I knew was to turn up at The Lanes at 2.30pm on Saturday 10 March after my wedding hair consultation. It was so wonderful to see all the girls there, and we packed in an impressive amount of activities in a few short hours! The order of events was:
  1. Ten-pin bowling which was lots of fun despite my best, but completely pathetic, effort

  2. The ritual humiliation of attaching a veil to my head in the middle of Courtney Place

  3. Even more humiliation and lots of confusion as I attempted to master the dance star machine at Time Out (end result was about 17 points awarded by the machine for accuracy and great moves, compared to Anne-Claire's 3 million or so points)

  4. A blissful pig-out at Strawberry Fare (which shot down my pre-wedding diet efforts)

  5. Post-prandial drinks outside in the sun at The Tasting Room where I had to answer a questionnaire about my groom and forthcoming marriage

  6. Off home to put Guy to bed by 7.15pm

Here are some photos of the afternoon.

Striding out in my lovely bowling shoes . . .

The bowlers

Checking out someone's score (not mine, they're not laughing enough!)

Rachel and I are on the synchronised bowling team! (mind you, she probably got another strike and I probably got another gutter ball)
