Driving in Style

Our friends Margaret and Johan have a lovely Jaguar (which Margaret tells us is more trouble than it's worth! and if it's anything like Jack's Katana, I know exactly what she means!) and when they heard that Jack and I had planned on driving to the wedding together in the Mazda family wagon, they were horrified, and offered their beautiful Jag and a handsome chauffeur to transport us in style.

This is Johan and his Jag

What a treat it was to be driven in such a lovely car. Johan had put ribbon on it and drove sedately all the way, so there was no chance of going to the wedding anonymously! As a lovely surprise on the way to the reception venue, Johan had a bottle of bubbly for us to enjoy, and by all accounts, Jack needed it after his harrowing wait for me to arrive at Massey Memorial! Clearly he was relieved it was finally over, as he kept saying "we're married!" all the way to the reception.

Many thanks to Margaret and Johan for their thoughtfulness and generosity in offering the Jag, it was lots of fun, and very special for us. It sure beats the Mazda any day!
